ABOUT OUR SERVICES and PRIMARY CONSULTANT
Training and Consulting Services is independently owned and operated by Dr. Thomas W. White, a nationally known expert in suicide risk management and correctional mental health. Dr. White offers a wide range of comprehensive training, consulting, and litigation support services to address the clinical and legal challenges faced by health care professionals and corrections administrators.
Dr. White’s background as a practicing clinician as well as a national program administrator affords him a unique perspective on all aspects of correctional suicide and mental health. His depth of experience is unmatched by other experts or consultants and enables him to provide useful, common sense solutions that prevent problems from exploding into a serious crisis or a lawsuit.
Workshops and consultation services are designed primarily for practitioners and organizations responsible for providing direct clinical services to offenders. However, other professionals such as lawyers, physicians, and insurance companies can also benefit from our specialized experience in all matters pertaining to correctional suicide or mental health.

WORKSHOPS FOR CLINICIANS
Workshops on suicide risk management are available to direct service providers and mental health supervisors. Participants are given the most up-to-date best practices while integrating the clinical, ethical, and legal issues most relevant for working with suicidal and high-risk clients.

CONSULTATION AND WORKSHOPS FOR ADMINISTRATORS
Consultation for program administrators provides guidance in policy development, implementation, and oversight for suicide prevention and programs for the mentally ill. Based on years of experience gained from coordinating a national suicide prevention program, training programs offer participants practical insights that can help organizations anticipate problems, develop cost effective solutions, and limit exposure to unfounded litigation.
